The interenet and memebership sites have been around for over a decade. This is how they make money. They warnings are there. If you want to sign up, u are best suited paying 90 bucks for 6 months. Point being, this is no different than any other dating site. And, if your accidental membership leads to finding your match, is it not worth $149? I did not verify my account because i read the fine print even before coming ot this website. User Beware: You put you Credit Card info in, you are getting charged. Read everything if you care about your money. Sorry, couldn't go without responding. People need to take resonsibility for their actions.

Wow, am I glad I decided to do my homework and research this site before falling for their "free" site. I saw the choices for validating (minimum months, with prices falling the more months you pay for all at once.) Well, now, my moment of weakness is over and I am no longer going to be doing anything with this site. Christian.... I think in use of the name only.
Thank you for your comments, it certainly made my decision an easy one.

I have had the same thing happen to me. I paid $1.95 to validate my email only. However, after I gave them my credit card and was given the message that my email was validated I could no longer get back into my account. When I entered my user name and password I received a message saying they were not correct. When I tried to have my information send to my email address I received a message saying the website did not recognize my email address. Since this only cost me $1.95 I figured no real harm done. I thought I was signing up for a free service. I'll just let the $1.95 go and eat the cost. I had absolutely no idea they were going to charge my credit card for further fees that I did not authorize. When I received my credit card statement in the mail I was charged the email validation fee on 12-12-2010 and on 12-13-2010 I was charged $149.97. I had no idea what the $149.97 was for. I again tried to get back into my account but was not able to. I called the number attached to the ichurch charge on my credit card statement. A recorded message came on that said they care about their customers but that I would have to leave a message and someone would get back to me I made 4 calls to them and each time had to leave a message. No one ever returned my call. When I found the email for the Sarah mentioned in this comment section I sent her an email explaining that I did not understand why I was be charged $149.97 and to please explain and remove the charge. Her response was that since I did not cancel within the trial period I was charged for a membership. I was then offered 6 additional months of their service. She also stated in her email that she has cancelled my account and that I will not be billed any further. I wrote back that I just want a refund of my money. All I wanted was the free service, I never new there were any strings attached to the $1.95 email validation and that even if I wanted to and had I known about the trial period and cancellation period-which I did not(but had I known)-I never would have been able to cancel anyhow as I could not get into my account. Also, I believe ichurch is in violation of their own policy since they charged me for a member ship fee within hours after I paid to have my email validated. They never waited to charge me until the trial period was up. Unless of course the trial period was only a couple hours. I believe the trial period was a few days. This is a scam and I won't give up until I get my money back. You now they will keep doing it until they are forced to stop.

Hi Everyone,
Just want to let you all know that I am calling a class action Lawyer tomorrow to find out if we can sue this company, get it shut down or at least be more honorable with their practices and I will need your help. I have received some emails from others that want to get involved if you would like to, please email me at miss_shelleyrose@hotmail.com or miss_shellez@hotmail.com. The space is an underscore if you can't see it. I wrote in this forum in October but got scammed the same way everyone else has a year ago. I can't believe that it's been a year and someone had just wrote last here December of 2010. These crooks have to be stopped!!! It is sooooo wrong!!!! I will write back when I find something out. Pray for justice!

Let me tell you....how I wish I had read this site before I gave them an ok to debit my account for 1.95. Thank you Lord that I have my bank statement come directly to my blackberry every morning when I get up. Forget three days.....I did this at 2 am when I couldn't sleep an by 8 am they had charged me 149.00. I called my bank immediately and then called them 6 times before I got a person. Let her know that I want NOTHING to do with a company that functions like that. She told me I am cancelled. Should I believe this?
Everyone one on here is right. It is a SCAM.

I opened my "account" with them last Sunday evening @ 9pm and when I checked my account Monday morning @ 8am - I was charged the $149.97 as well. I have talked to them twice - 1st I was told 3-5 days but to submit my request... from Sara.... then I got the email that said 7-10 days....I emailed numerous times and called again last Thursday - on 3 way with my bank, I was told I would be refunded in 2 days.... here it is 4 days later and my account is now -$40.35....obviously NO REFUND YET!!!! I am getting ready to call my bank so we can make our 3rd call and to start fraud charges against them. I found them on Facebook, so I plan to put the word out big time around there to keep others from having to deal with this. It makes me really sad that people are using the "Christian" part to lure people in.
