» Plentyoffish – Facebook Hacker!

Toronto Dating | Facebook,Fake Profiles,Plentyoffish.com | Monday, March 31st, 2008

That’s right kids, beware of the ‘Facebook Hacker’, and by ‘hacker’ we mean someone who can view your Facebook photo and then right-clicks to save the photo. Toronto’s CityNews has the ‘shocking’ details. So, buddy likely leaves his Facebook profile security settings open for ‘anyone’ to see his photos and then has his photo show up on free dating site Plentyoffish.com. It’s pretty much old news for online dating sites, but this time they used a ‘real’ persons photo instead of the typical model shots… I guess they’re getting smarter (i.e. ‘real’ photos of ‘real’ people are far more convincing). So buddy goes to the police and they pretty much laugh at him (ok, not quite but…) – understandable. But don’t worry Plentyoffish-ers, Markus ‘delete[s] and banish[ishes] scammers, its easy to do. Hmmm… Oh, and then CityNews tells you about the cartoon connection… Ummmm, I guess they had a bit of extra time to fill.
